All the exercises we did yesterday to help Sia check in more and "be in the moment" helped. Today she is much more checked in with me.
I was planning today to spend some time backtracking a bit with her name recognition. Seemed like yesterday she had no idea what her name was or could care less if you calling it. Thought I would really focus in on that today and get her back on track.
But no need to. We just did a little refresher and she was very responsive and quick.
In general she just wanted to be close today and she was really tuned into me. This is more of the dog I suspect you will see when she has matured and developed some more self-control. I am already seeing so many changes in her. She rarely needs a body block for her waits, she's so patient when I'm preparing her food, and she has more of a calmness in her that I haven't seen before.
My helper who came by to help with greetings noticed a change in her as well. She commented on how well Sia was greeting now.
A quick little reward is warranted here. Sitting nicely when there are other dogs present is not easy to do. Especially if she is competing for attention or other resources.
Some things, of course, never change. She really wants to appease Healey. Good effort though...
After a long day of playing and training in the warm sun, it's definitely time to snuggle up with your favorite tug toy. That tug is so well loved...
